My Sister's Punch Needle ~ Week of 2/24

My sister is working away furiously on her punch needle creations, having received a warm reception on eBay for her pieces! Unlike me, she's not striking! hee hee! Here's her offerings on on eBay for the week:

Good luck to all the bidders! If she gets any free time I hope she'll make one of those delicious Easter bunny pieces for me! With my failing eyesight, I've had to give up detailed stitchery, much to my disappointment. But hey, being 10 years younger than me, I figure sissy has plenty of time left to stitch away! My birthday IS coming up (hint ~ hint)!

I hope to get back into the craft room soon ~ Just as soon as I can shake this crud I caught about 3 weeks ago. Finally went to the doctor this past Thursday. She gave me a 'script to treat it as a bronchial infection. Today I still feel dragged out but hoping I can muster enough energy to get started on repainting my sunroom. Must remember to do "before" and "after" pictures for the day when we list this money pit!

As far as my eBay activities, I have made the decision to boycott eBay during the coming week. The strike is intended to send eBay a message that their new change in policy concerning the feedback system (Sellers are no longer allowed to leave feedback for buyers) and their increase in selling fees is unacceptable to SELLERS. I listed one auction 10 days ago, expecting to be out of town for a 7 day listing and didn't think about the strike at the time, so that one auction will run over into the boycott time frame. Otherwise, I will stand united with my fellow sellers and hope our voices are heard loud and clear enough to effect some change.

It's going to be an interesting week!

Trip to West Virginia

This past weekend, hubby and I took a quick trip to West Virginia on personal family business. Fourteen hours in the car! I shot some gorgeous photos that I wanted to share ~

Have I told you I'm deathly afraid of heights? I was a nervous wreck the whole time, but still glad I could see the breathtaking part of the country where my husband was raised!
